ZIL PMZ 53A fire truckThe history of the PMZ-53A began with the production of a series of PMZ-53 tank trucks with a metal body and a cabin. The car was equipped with a pump PN-ZOK, tank capacity - 1950 l. On the back wall of the tank truck of the first issues was mounted mounting for the removable sleeve coil RK-3, which was wound seven rubberized sleeves. The model PMZ-53A, manufactured since 1960, the rear detachable sleeve coil was not installed, tanker produced on the chassis ZIL-164A After further modernization (increasing the tank capacity for water up to 2100 l and foaming agent up to 150 l), which resulted in an increase in the total weight of the car to 8270 kg, the designers managed to reduce the overall length of the tanker to 6930 mm.
