The light-duty pyrotechnic vehicle is designed for:

• rapid deployment/transport of pyrotechnicians, special equipment, and gear to the discovery sites of explosive remnants of war (ERW) or unexploded ordnance (UXO) via all types of roads;
• establishing radio communications in the VHF/HF bands using both base and portable radio stations;
• deforming, moving, and destroying structural load-bearing elements, and cutting metal rods;
• expanding narrow openings in rubble and various structures using hydraulic and pneumatic tools;
• cordoning off hazardous areas and sites where UXO has been identified, as well as conducting search operations for UXO;
• transporting UXO weighing up to 250 kg.
