Today, in the assembly and painting and mechanical workshops of the Blagochynny enterprise in the city of Pryluky and the Pryluky district of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, archpriest Vitaly Yurochko conducted the consecration of water and sprinkling all those present with holy water.
All willing employees could join. The CEO of the Company, Oleg Averyanov, together with the company’s employees, prayed and took part in the service.
It is an ancient custom of Orthodox believers to not only pray, but also to cleanse themselves with water on the day of the Baptism of the Lord. When Jesus Christ accepted the rite of baptism from John the Baptist, the Savior thereby initiated the Sacrament of water baptism – one of the seven main church sacraments.
The joint prayers of all Ukrainians are now about only one thing – Victory and peace for our Motherland.
So today we all turned to the Almighty with a single prayer and thought to grant us a peaceful life in our country, strengthen our faith and protect our defenders at every step.
We believe in Ukraine! We believe in the Armed Forces! The truth and God are with us, so we will win!
